Poster Session

Our poster sessions will run as a series of short talks presentations, with two sessions running in parallel on each afternoon. Poster presenters will be able to present their work in a short talk (3 slides) for discussion with a small group of in-person and online participants.

CcpNmr Analysis V3 Workshop

As usual the conference will be preceded by a workshop on the morning of Wednesday 25 August 2021. Users will be able to work through a variety of different tutorials at home or on site with the CCPN team on hand to provide assistance. We will also demonstrate a number of key and new functionalities of the program.

COVID safety measures for in-person attendance

In-person attendance will be limited to around 70 participants on a first come first served basis.

Testing: Participants will be asked to take a lateral flow test each day.
Lecture Hall: Chairs with individual desks will be separated by ~1m and participants seated in the same place for the duration of the conference. Face coverings to be worn by anyone who isn’t speaking.
Poster Sessions: As short talks to a group of ~10-12 others plus online audience. Chairs with individual desks will be separated by ~1m. Face coverings to be worn by anyone who isn’t speaking. Open windows for ventilation.
Mealtimes: Packed lunches. Breakfast and dinner in open marquees and a few well separated tables indoors.
Accommodation: Modern en-suite student rooms in 8-11 room houses with a kitchen and common room. (The university has built new accommodation blocks since we were last in Ambleside!)
Bubbles: We will group people into “bubbles” for accommodation, meal times and poster sessions so as to minimise the number of people who will have to isolate if someone tests positive for COVID-19. There will be plenty of other opportunities to socialise with other people outdoors (not least during the walks on Thursday afternoon).

Connect NMR UK bursaries

Connect NMR UK have kindly agreed to provide 10 bursaries of up to £200 each for in-person postgraduates or early career researchers to attend the 2021 CCPN meeting in Ambleside. Priority will be given to those who have not previously attended a CCPN meeting in person. You can indicate as part of the registration process whether you would like to be considered for one of these bursaries.

Travel Information

The University of Cumbria in Ambleside is situated on Rydal Road with the main campus on the northern side and the accommodation blocks on the southern side. See the campus map for more details.

Car Parking

The University has limited Pay and Display parking available on site, or you can use the nearby public car park on Rydal Road where a 3-day parking permit can be bought for £17.50. But please note that the car park may easily fill up during the day during the holiday season.

Public Transport

The nearest station is at Windermere, 5miles away. There is a bus once an hour or you could travel by taxi. Please note that during the holiday season the road from Windermere to Ambleside is very busy and delays are likely - make sure you leave enough time between the arrival of your train and the time by when you want to be at Ambleside.

Under 18s

All conference participants must be aged 18 or over. Any minors attending as accompanying persons must be supervised by their parents at all times. The safety of children is the sole responsibility of their parents.

We look forward to seeing lots of you in August – either in person or online!
